The Caucasian Herbarium
This herbariium, together with that contributed by Marschall von Bieberstein and K.A. Meir, formed
the nucleus of the first botanical collection in Russia. It will be of significant assistance to
botanical work on the systematics, floristics and morphology of higher plants in many different
countries. It will also allow the standard specimens of higher plant taxa from the Caucasus to be
examined by research workers who have no access to the original material. |
