biographies of major and minor figures of the Catholic Reformation in France.Special mention
should be made here of a related IDC project that has been included
in the present catalogue. The remarkable collection of French diocesan catechisms
spanning three centuries from 1615 to 1900, kept in the Bibliothèque des Fontaines,
has been made available. The availability of such a large number of catechisms
covering a long period offers possibilities for a great many studies of a quantitative and comparative nature.
