Finding aid
The finding aid to this collection has been encoded in EAD (Encoded Archival Description). IDC plans to code all of its future finding aids in this new standard for archival description. By making use of XML (eXtensible Markup Language), EAD offers many possibilities for access and exchange of data. The copy published on this website, however, is coded in HTML. At this moment, therefore, searches can only be performed by using the standard search facilities of your web browser. For internet explorer, for example, you will find the "Find on this page" option under the menu Edit, or you can press Ctrl F4. Future plans concerning the use of EAD and enhanced search facilities on the IDC website will be announced on the MARC/EAD web page.
